The Falmouth Chorale (FC) is currently composed of about 100 active singers who love singing choral music and who want to improve their individual competencies and experience the joy of ensemble singing. Their mission is to share with their audiences the joy of singing and to communicate with passion the marvelous and varied choral music which has been created over the centuries. Since 2007 the FC has been led by Artistic Director John Yankee who has moved the Chorale forward with a strategic plan, working committees, theory classes, a fourth annual concert of light music, and vocal musicianship assessment. The ensemble performs four concerts per year, in addition to special events. More information can be found on their website.
In 2008, John also founded the Falmouth Chorale Chamber Singers (FCCS), an auditioned vocal ensemble which has performed throughout the Cape as an arm of The Falmouth Chorale, and are featured in most Chorale concerts. Performances of The Falmouth Chorale Chamber Singers include concerts at the Marina Park Band Shell, Highfield Hall, collaborations with the Falmouth Chamber Players Orchestra, and singing John Yankee’s arrangement of The Star Spangled Banner at events ranging from the annual Falmouth Chamber of Commerce dinner to Falmouth Commodores baseball games. More information about the FCCS can be found on their website.
